Pastoral Care

So deeply do we care for you that we are determined to share with you not only the Gospel of God but also our own selves, because you have become so dear to us (1 Thessalonians 2:8)

What is our Pastoral Care Team?

We are a group of caring people who demonstrate a practical helpful way to "love your neighbour". We visit people and support them in their times of crisis, loneliness and confusion. We are willing to listen.

Why a team?

Today it is not always possible for Reverend Ball to visit every hurting member of our congregation when required. A team of caring workers assisting the minister can reach more people who are in need, for whatever reason.

To whom is the team accountable?

The responsibility for Pastoral Care in Westminster Presbyterian Church belongs to the Session's role of caring. Reverend Ball coordinates the function of the Pastoral Care team.

What is the Minister's role on the Team?

Reverend Ball is the Team mentor. He gives them support, encouragement and advice. He assists the team members in skill building and growing in faith together.

What do we do?

We bring our congregation's concern for the well-being of all persons under our care by:

When should you call?

When you:

Where should you see us?

At a place convenient for you.

Is what you say confidential?

This Team cannot function unless confidentiality is maintained.
