Men’s Fellowship Breakfast

The Men's Fellowship Breakfast group was inaugurated in 2006 and meets on several Saturday mornings throughout the year, bright and early at the Church. The guiding principle is to allow all Westminster males a time of fellowship together, over a meal, and to have a guest speaker with a focus on first person topical issues.

For details, contact Vince Gobuyan 613-270-0406.

$5 per person, all males welcome and bring a friend!

Men’s Fellowship Breakfast – May, 2009

On Saturday the 23rd of May a few good WPC men treated themselves to a hefty breakfast of steak, eggs, home baked biscuits and more. They then listened in awe to Columbia Washington as he related his incredible story of overcoming fear, anxiety and all sorts of evil that confronted him in the jungles of Africa.

Born into a family of means with highly educated parents and Paris, France as home, Columbia was suddenly reduced to an orphan at the age of 15 after his parents and twin brother were killed in Liberia while his father traveled there on business when the revolution broke. Columbia was wounded and left for dead and he managed to escape into the jungles of Cote d’Ivoire and Ghana. The road that finally brought him to Canada was a very long and arduous one filled with near death episodes highlighted by his encounter with a Christian pastor who introduced him to Jesus Christ. It is truly inspiring to hear Columbia express his desire to abide within the love and acceptance of God and that within His tender care he knows and, for that matter, we know as believers, that he is and, we are, safe.

Let it be known also that the Men’s Fellowship has for the last two years raised a total of $492.25 including the $30 netted from last Saturday’s breakfast sales. A project being considered for this money earned so far is the installation of a six or more capacity bicycle rack.
