January 2008 Church
School News:
As we begin a new year, it
is a time to look back on the busy Advent and Christmas seasons in the
Church. This year we did our pageant on Sunday Dec.23rd and then had
the children dress as the animals in the stable during the family service
on Christmas Eve. After the pageant on the 23rd we had a birthday party
for Jesus! We must always remember that Jesus is the reason for this
wonderful season!
We're looking forward to
another fun-filled year in 2008, full of learning for everyone, young
and old!
As our numbers grow, so
does our need for additional teachers and Nursery Help. There is a sign-up
sheet in the Library where everyone can sign up for as many weeks as
you would be comfortable helping our children grow in Christ. All training
will be provided and any and all help is welcomed. For further info
please don't hesitate to contact either Sharon Tinkess by phone 613-843-9488
) or Rev. Ball. Please let us never forget that the children of today
are the adults of tomorrow and are the future of our Church.
May everyone have a happy
and healthy new year,
Sharon Tinkess
December 2007 news:
We have been very pleased
to be able to welcome six children who previously attended Erskine.
Welcome to Westminster!
We are getting ready to
sing a song at the Family Christmas Service in December and would like
to invite all children, young or old, to come and learn it with us.

On a personal note, I would
like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for his/her support
and prayers over the year and may everyone have a very blessed holiday
season and may we never forget that Jesus is the reason for the season!

We have had very dedicated members who have devoted
many hours to the children in our church. With more children attending,
we need more teachers! Hopefully with a sufficient number of volunteers,
the job will be easier. Teaching one Sunday a month will ensure that
everyone, including the teachers, will have 3 Sundays to attend the
Worship service. Please consider serving in this area. You will be trained
and mentored. All ages are welcome.
