Canadian Girls in Training (CGIT)

Link to Jamboree report to Westminster Wespress

CGIT is a Canadian Christian program for girls between the ages of 11-15 who meet weekly from September to May for activities based on the 4 fold purpose.

CGIT encourages girls to build on their strengths and develop leadership skills.

Our CGIT Purpose:

As a Canadian Girl in Training Under the Leadership of Jesus It is my purpose to

  • Cherish Health
  • Seek Truth
  • Know God
  • Serve Others

and thus, with His help, become the girl God would have me be.

September 2010

CGIT is starting up again in September at Westminster Church and we would like to invite you to be a part of this exciting group this year! We are a group of girls ages 11-15 (grade 6 & up) who get together each Thursday night from 7-8:30 pm to play games, sing, work on projects, create crafts and develop lasting friendships.

Our CGIT group starts on Thursday September 16, 2010 at 7pm in the Lower Hall of the church. Dress is casual.

At our first meeting we will be playing games, singing, doing a craft and registering with our group. We will also be reminiscing about our summer holidays, munching on treats and in general having a good time together!

Registration: Registration is $50 per girl for the year plus a uniform fee. This covers our registration fees with the Ontario CGIT Association and some to cover the cost of our own group events. Cash or cheques are acceptable means of payment with cheques payable to ‘Carol Ann Joiner’ with CGIT as the subject line.

We are looking forward to seeing you on Thursday September 16, 2010 at 7pm in the Lower Hall of Westminster Church. Come join in the fun and share in the surprises!

Enthusiastically,

Carol Ann Joiner “Chicklet”
